Structural Steel
Structshop is a Perth-based company specialising in the production of structural steel workshop detailing for fabricators across the residential, commercial, and mining sectors.
We demonstrate our commitment to the detailing industry through ongoing investment in the latest computer technology and the world-leading 3D structural steel detailing software, Tekla Structures. This enables us to deliver a reliable, high-quality service to our clients.
From the initial design documentation, both structural and architectural steelwork are modelled within Tekla Structures. Every steel member and connection is created in full 3D to ensure dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, architectural compliance, and efficient on-site erection. Throughout the modelling process, the entire structure can be reviewed from any angle to identify potential clashes and confirm adequate bolt access for installation. This proactive approach allows design issues to be resolved prior to fabrication, ultimately saving our clients time and cost.
Utilising the multi-user functionality of Tekla Structures, our team can work collaboratively on a single model, enabling us to efficiently deliver large-scale commercial and mining projects.
Upon completion of the model, the software generates accurate part, assembly, and general arrangement drawings. We ensure all drawings contain the necessary dimensions and information to facilitate straightforward fabrication. In addition, we provide data-rich reports including assembly lists and bolt schedules, as well as precise NC and DXF files suitable for laser cutting and beam line machinery. The model-based environment ensures that any revisions are automatically updated across all drawings and reports.
We supply our clients with comprehensive documentation and ongoing support throughout the fabrication and erection phases. Furthermore, we can provide a complimentary 3D model viewer, allowing project stakeholders to zoom, rotate, and navigate the structure in full rendered 3D while accessing detailed information for every component.

Concrete
Structshop provides comprehensive precast concrete detailing services. The use of precast panels has become a widely adopted construction method and is now the predominant solution for commercial building projects.
As part of our structural steel detailing workflow, precast panels are fully integrated into our 3D structural steel model. This coordinated approach ensures optimal constructability and minimises on-site issues. From this model, we generate detailed panel drawings to support both off-site and on-site manufacturing processes.
All 3D modelling is completed using Tekla Structures, enabling us to deliver high-quality 2D panel drawings that clearly define reinforcement requirements, ferrule layouts, and all cast-in components.
Because our drawings are produced directly from a highly detailed and intelligent model, any design changes are automatically reflected across all associated documentation and data outputs. This model-based workflow ensures that all deliverables remain accurate, consistent, and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
